I attended the Royal Veterinary College, London for my veterinary training, intercalating during the course to study for a BSc from UCL in Human Genetics. In 2003, I graduated from the RVC and began work in a small animal practice in Orpington, Kent. Since then I have worked in a few practices in Surrey and Kent, including Priory Vets in 2006. In 2007 I took an advanced course in Veterinary Acupuncture and have been adding acupuncture to my treatment options ever since. I have interests in a number of different areas of medicine including dermatology and geriatric medicine.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our rescue dog Shanty. She has taught me a lot about how dogs can train their owners very effectively.
Nicola decided to be a vet at 4 years old. She graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1992 and has been working with a wide range of animals ever since. Her interest in veterinary ophthalmology has led to further studies and specialisation within this field.
She married a fellow Liverpool student 26 years ago and they have 3 sons and a large menagerie of rescue animals.
She has spoken in schools and youth clubs to budding vets and animal lovers. She enjoys making animals happy, parenthood and writing.
Laura started working for Priory Vets as a highly valued receptionist in June 2015. She has always had an interest and shown her ability in animal handling, and has since moved to be part of the Hillside Mobile Vets team. Laura is a familiar face to clients out in visits or on the end of the phone as she manages the day to day running of the service with Georgie and Nicola.
